Down below the lookout is this great and unexpected view of Lake Burragorang - Sydney's water supply now at a 80 percent full - how good is that.
Here it is in May 2009 - 58 percent full
And in March 2007 during the drought, a scary 34 percent.

Hi Joan, Love that middle shot - very scenic, especially with the clouds reflected in the water. Happy snapping!
ReplyDeleteAwesome scenery.
ReplyDeletegreat to see the different levels. Agree with Valerie about the second shot, very nice :)
ReplyDeleteThose are such interesting photos -stunning in their comparison. Here in South Australia our water situation sometimes gets even more panicky hence the new desalination plant. Thanks for sharing this!
ReplyDeleteA great series of photos to sow the levels. It looks great today. Our Wivenhoe Dam is about 80% full they have been letting water out on and off since the last floods. They want to get it down to 75% in case we have heavy rains again this summer. It is a hot topic at the moment as it hasn't rained for a month.
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous place! The view is breathtaking!
ReplyDeleteStunning series. It's great to see the lake so full.
ReplyDeleteAmazing views! The bottom shot is my favorite.
ReplyDeleteHow good is that? Very!
ReplyDeleteTerrific series of comparions here, Joan. What someone thought to be clouds, I thought to be the bottom of the lake.
ReplyDeleteNot keen on that 34% full image ...
I like the 34% image but not what it represents.
