It's a long road and at the end of the bitumen there is a further 5 kilometre of dirt track to go which ends at Anvil Rock and the Wind Eroded Rock. We didn't drive out there this time even though it is one of the easiest tracks in the mountains to see great views. Click the links above to see them.

I can imagine this road with the trees all leafed out. A magical trail. Did you tell us how the road got its name?
ReplyDeleteHI there,
DeleteI don't actually know where the name came from.
And the trees are actually all leafed out. Gum trees are evergreen and tend to have quite a sparse canopy on the lower branches.
Beautiful avenue of trees to end. Thanks for the ride.
ReplyDeleteIt leads to some pretty spectacular views. But I wanted to get back to the cafe for a cuppa before it closed so missed out this time.
DeleteSo ... where's the hill in the shape of a hat?
ReplyDeleteDunno. There were a few ups and downs in the road but no hills a such.
