Wentworth Falls are just around the corner from here.
Words to walk with:
Epilogue by John Masefield
"I have seen flowers come in stony places
And kind things done by men with ugly faces,
And the gold cup won by the worst horse at the races,
So I trust too.
So, are we about to see something unexpected?
ReplyDeleteI have walked trails like this in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Beautiful.
It must be fantastic reaching the trail top and have such a view!
ReplyDeleteJE, when you were in Wollemia National Forest did you learn anything about the tree, Wollemia Nobilis?
ReplyDeleteAlso, I left you a note on my blog about my header.
ReplyDeleteIt is my kind of place. Secluded and natural.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a bit of a scramble up there! What a beautiful part of the world.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your kind comments of my blog. It's always great for me to get feedback from those who probably know the place more than me!
Look foreward to the next pic. I have walked the trail on the western side, so it will be interesting to see the falls from this side.
ReplyDeletePJ, the Wollemi Pine (Wollemia Nobilis)an ancient tree is famous for having only been discovered in 1994. There are just a few in the wild, hiding deep in the wilderness. Their location is kept secret so people don't visit them to death. In the meanwhile the nursery industry has been busy growing them so the species will live on. Hence, I've seen them in pots but not in the forest.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad they're propagating it for general consumption, it will take some of the pressure of the endemic population. Thanks for the info.
