It is a beautiful spot. The trees are much taller here than in most other parts of the mountains. It is because the soil here is volcanic rather than the poor sandy soil of elsewhere.
We do not have many and they are mostly in public parks but I love the smell. Nothing quite as majestic as a strong tall tree that you know has been there perhaps since before your grandfather was born. Paul at Leeds in Yorkshire photography
I can almost smell the eucalyptus, and the forest floor. And hear the breeze. I love the Australia bush when it looks like this. Very majestic ...
