As Gemma said yesterday the trees "parade a gallery of trunk art". I think the buggy ones and bark stripping ones are the best.
I agree our trees are unique but every country has wonderful forests of their own kind ... love of this particular type of forest is perhaps an acquired (or born to) taste.
