Wattle time

Winter is not traditionally a time when there are lots of flowers but there are always a hardy few. A notable exception are the low growing wattles which are dotted throughout the forest floor. A cheerful addition to cold winter days.

I love wattles (see here, here, here and here) and for some reason like seeing into their fluffy balls in macro.

  1. I went back through you past wattle photos: they are gorgeous. I had not thought to try to capture just one floweret. You even have water-droplets in this one.

  2. Wow, an awesome macro photo! Was this a big flowering variety?

  3. It was just an ordinary sized flower. The water drop was very small, I didn't even know it was there until I came home and looked at the shots. Fine misty rain was falling at the time so I should not be surprised.

Macros as such fun. I must try some more.
