Black Springs

We pass through the small timber town of Black Springs which has this typical country church.

  1. When he was younger, my brother always wanted to buy one of these to live in. I can see the attraction, but I bet they cost a fortune nowadays.

  2. It reminds me of the small timber church in my street when I was growing up.

  3. I love this kind of churches. They are not to be found in Poland, but quite popular in Scandinavia:)
    Hapy weekend to you!

  4. I think that they fetch much the same price as other real estate on initial sale. Once they have been done up they can fetch a premium but it all depends on whether there is a demand for fancy homes wherever it is located. An attractively renovated one at Tarana has been on the market for ages.

And of course many of them are still churches and not up for sale.
