The edge


And here we are at the end of the track.  Yes the track stops at a cliff edge like this with an expansive view across the valley to similar cliffs.   It's unfenced so I wasn't going near the edge but climbers do.  There is a tiny white dot towards the bottom of the cliff in the foreground ... it's a climber hanging from a rope. I'll show you a closer look at him in my next post.

  7. yikes - what an amazing view - i've never understood why someone would dangle from a rope but each to their own - I prefer the clifftop view but from not TOO near the edge.

  8. So much for my notion that all of Australia is flat. These are some serious cliffs. The vertical faces are impressive. I wonder what geological process sheared them off so dramatically. It is clear from these photos why they are called the Blue Mountains. Very handsome.
