Emu


Just a little while before entering Abercrombie National Park we came across this guy. Emus are big, a couple of metres tall.

    And the sheer intensity of their eyes makes one wary of their beaks!! They are amazing when they run.

    Where we are wayfaring right now emus are everywhere. As for running the other night 5 of them ran across out track -- a terrific sight but I was not fast enough with the camera so don't expect a photo when I start running the story in the blog.
