Oh I miss that smell more than anything. Feeling very parched and dry in suburbia at the moment. Thanks for the reminder of breathing in the moist replenishing earth smells, reminiscint of escape and soul-soothing holidays.
This is a delight, Joan. Next week, I have scheduled images from a walk about 500m from my house. It will astound you. Lots of exotica, though, I am afraid.
I love the coolness and greenness of a temperate rainforest.
ReplyDeleteDecay, but balanced with new growth. Beautifully captured.
ReplyDeleteI love it too Joan! Can almost smell the moss and wet soil!
ReplyDeleteI don't know if you ever been to the Amazon forest but I'm sure you would love it! :-) Great detail.
ReplyDeleteDecay, yes, but you've also captured the new growth fed by that decay. The cycle of life. Perfect.

ReplyDeleteJM, no I've never been to the Amazon forest. I'm sure I would enjoy it too. I suspect the growth is much more dense than in the temperate rainforest.
ReplyDeletePam, I just die in the suburbs.
I can almost smell the ground in your picture:)
ReplyDeleteI love the smell of the forest ground, and I love your picture:)
