Scribbly-Gum

Blackfellows Hands Trail, Newnes State Forest

When I was photographing the trees Judith Wright's poems were running through my mind. Here's another one.

Words to walk with:
From Scribbly-Gum by Judith Wright
"The gum-tree stands by the spring.
I peeled its splitting bark
and found the written track
of a life I could not read."

  1. Nature the artist at work. Great shot.

Did you know the "scribbles" are made by the larvae of the tiny scribbly moth?
