At the beginning to the track it doesn't look all the promising for people looking for waterfalls. It is Sclerophyll forest.
Sclerophyll forests are a typically Australian vegetation type having plants (typically eucalypts, wattles and banksias) with hard, short and often spiky leaves, which is a condition closely associated with low soil fertility (rather than rainfall/soil moisture). www.environment.nsw.gov.au
Thanks for the info, Joan. I would have to look for Sclerophyll forest on google! :-) I like this spot.ReplyDelete
