Walkway across the top of Wentworth Falls |
The Blue Mountains are all about bush walking. This is one of the heavily used and hence highly maintained tracks. The fence is protecting people from the huge drop of the waterfall, a small slip on those rocks and you'd be gone over the edge.

Your rock scrambling pic is heaps better than mine. Off to Europe on Friday with 26 school kids!! Back in May.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the trip. I look forward to seeing some photos from it.
Deleteprecarious pedestrian crossings aren't limited to city streets
ReplyDeleteI hope to visit one day.
ReplyDeleteTerrific interpretation!
ReplyDelete(I know the railing has been placed there for safety reasons, but somehow that dark colour is very intrusive on the scene. I wonder why they did not camoflague the railing better?)
Mark, I think the railing is actually a dark green which does blend in quite well. And frankly if you were there you would not notice the railing .... the view from those steps across the top of the waterfall is breathtaking.
DeleteWhat a fabulous place! Great take on the theme, Joan.
ReplyDeleteWow, crossing a waterfall! I've not seen that before - thanks for this unique realisation of the theme!
ReplyDeleteI can just imagine the view from there Joan, did you take any shots of it? I think i would feel pretty safe on this very sturdy and solid crossing. Fab image for the theme.
ReplyDeleteIf you do a search on Wentworth Falls on the blog you will see some.
