Window in a garden

As promised I am back to show you more of the lovely Everglades gardens. I did a series on the garden in Autumn 2007 but unlike in the northern hemisphere where autumn is currently in full swing here we are revelling in the delights of spring.

One of the interesting features of the Everglades is the way it marries a formal exotic garden with the natural Australian bush ... green lawns and clipped hedges give way to tall eucalypts and twiggy native plants thrusting through bare earth. And being in the mountains also cliff top views beautifully framed in the formal garden.

  4. Does a Wednesday suit? If so, how about Wednesday 2nd December? If Wednesday is no good, you tell which which day of the week is best for your schedule.

My schedule is easy ... *grin* ...

  5. Julie, Monday or Friday that week. Do you have a personal email address yet. If so, please email me so we can make the arrangements offline.

  6. It sounds like wedded bliss. It's a little strange to hear you use the term The Everglades, that's down in South Florida, isn't it??

  7. Yes "The Everglades" are definitely in Florida and have absolutely no resemblance to this garden. I looked up the history and the name was given to the land by the owner prior to the one who made the garden so the reason for the name has probably been lost in the mists of time.
