Kings Tableland Road

We are heading out to McMahon's Point at the end of Kings Tableland Road. It's about 20kms along a dirt track with not much more than forest to look at.

Words to walk with:
From the speech deliver by Martin Luther King Jr. on 28 August 1963, at the Lincoln Memorial, Washington D.C
"I have a dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed: "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal."

I have a dream that one day on the red hills of Georgia, the sons of former slaves and the sons of former slave owners will be able to sit down together at the table of brotherhood."

  1. Thank you for remembering Martin, a great man.
These trees are so lovely, thank you for showing them up close.

  2. The man had a timbre (sorry) to his voice that is instantly identifiable. I hear him speak as I read these words. I see the tide of people in August '63 around the pool of remembrance (?).

Interesting - though slightly tenuous - speech to quote for this photograph of the Australian bush.

  3. The road is Kings Tableland ... the speech as from King speaking of the "table of brotherhood".

OK its like a cryptic clue but the speech is worth remembering anyway.
